About Me
- ♥Joy♥
- I'm in my 20's. Sometimes I'm okay with that, sometimes I'm not. I have 2 daughters. I have a wonderful man! I'm from the East Coast. Oklahoma has tornados, NOT beaches!! I write. I read. I work hard. I'm addicted to blogger & facebook. Hmm weird! I hate drama, although I am very dramatic. I love pink, shoes, Celine Dion, and Coach purses. This is new to me, because I have always been a tomboy!

Simply...
So Olivia had like an AWESOME birthday party/grill out at the house and I have misplaced the cord to my camera. So I have all these pics and no cord. So I have no pics to post.
Boo.
Today I watched Grey's Anatomy on ABC.Com, because I simply couldn't wait until tonight when It showed. (Hello my name is Joy, and I am a Greysaholic.) So I now have all these people still here, watching Grey's Anatomy for the first time, and I'm on here because I've already seen it. hahaha
I think it was a good show, with some surprising twists. I won't give anything away because you guys probably haven't seen it yet.
Ready for Desperate Housewives next! Yay!

SURVIVOR UPDATE
MESSAGE FROM THE SURVIVOR CHAIR
Relay is just around the corner - 15 more days!
If you are not part of a team, I would like to extend an invitation to you as well to come out and see what Relay For Life is all about - it is not just for Survivors, but also their caregivers and their supporters. Please feel free to forward this information on to others. We are still looking for Survivors to honor at our Survivor Reception, Survivor Lap and Luminaria event on June 1st. We want to be sure each patient and survivor in the Tulsa Community is honored at this event. We cannot do this without your efforts of extending an invitation to all the cancer patients and survivors you may know. Don’t forget each Relay For Life Team has a challenge to have at least a minimum of one Survivor/Patient on their team. As a team captain, if you recruit a survivor, please get them registered as a Survivor. Our night is filled with all kinds of fun and excitement and there will not be a lack of activities going on throughout the night. We will honor all Survivors and their caregivers with a Reception Dinner catered by Rib Crib at 5:30 pm. During this event we will have a guest speaker. Dr. Edgar Staren, MD, PhD, MBA – Chief Medical Officer and Surgical Oncologist from CTCA (Cancer Treatment Centers of America) who is a survivor himself. We will have cake provided and served by NEONS (North East Oklahoma Oncology Nursing Society). We will have a special gift for the survivors. Shortly after dinner at 7:00pm will be the Survivor opening lap. Carrie Netherton from FOX23 will be our hosting MC and will be reading the names of all Survivors. Then we will have a special guest singer, Joy Cochran. This year our Survivors will have a banner to carry during the opening lap. We ask that all survivor caregivers be present to assist in a special part of this opening lap. I encourage each of you to invite your friends, families, co-workers, in-laws and out-laws, and acquaintances to come see what Relay For Life is all about and not miss the experience. As our Committee Chair, Stacy Mendenhall stated in our May Newsletter, "Just knowing you are part of something so great is a feeling that can’t be described." Thank you for all your efforts for recognizing our Heroes of Hope! I look forward to seeing each and every one of you at Relay on Friday, June 1st!
