About Me

My photo
I'm in my 20's. Sometimes I'm okay with that, sometimes I'm not. I have 2 daughters. I have a wonderful man! I'm from the East Coast. Oklahoma has tornados, NOT beaches!! I write. I read. I work hard. I'm addicted to blogger & facebook. Hmm weird! I hate drama, although I am very dramatic. I love pink, shoes, Celine Dion, and Coach purses. This is new to me, because I have always been a tomboy!

Addicted

It's like you're a drug...It's like I'm stuck...~Kelly Clarkson

haha I'm singing to you, blogger-face. Yes, I am addicted. I am addicted to blogging. Addicted to reading other bloggers. Thanks to Michelle, a new blog I found, I officially know just how addicted I am to this past time known simply as "blogging":

84%? How are you 84% addicted to blogging? Is this because I studied for all my exams, thus ignored my faithful few followers? Is this because I enhanced my blogging experience by personally visiting each site instead of RSS Feeding? Whatever it is, thank you Addiction Quiz, for making me 84%. I feel like less of a freak knowing that people could actually get higher...(like when I took the quiz the first time and it read 97% and I was immeasureably embarrassed. Haha kidding!)

We are presently watching UFC 94! I absolutely ADORE UFC! Bonnar is fighting Jones and although there are only 25 seconds left in this last round, I am unsure as to who is going to win this fight. Oh well, I'm only sticking around for St. Pierre VS Penn anyway. And Machida. I just like his accent. WOOT!

GO GEORGES RUSH ST. PIERRE!! SEXY MAN! hahaha!

It's Time

Now that I'm not sick anymore, it's time to turn to more UPBEAT things! I am so tired of the moody and nonsensical blogs I have been spitting out as if I have a huge wad of Bad Mood Copenhagen shoved into my mouth!

Tonight was definitely a BLAH night. Normally, we would watch Ghost Whisperer with the girls but it was a rerun so we had to think of something else to do. Unable to decide, we went to eat out-rather late I might add-due to The Man's intense addiction to the Myspace game, FASHION WARS. HAHAHA Yes, I said it, Fashion Wars. My big huge strong 15 inch bicepped sweetheart is seriously passing around "Posse Love!" to his many fans in the Myspace App Game. He has tons of posse members and literally goes into conniption fits if he is placed on the HIT LIST.

Anyway, when we got home, I literally had forgotten it was Friday Night. So I got the girls ready for bed, put them in their beds, and they started asking for a movie to which I originally said "No" to but then when Garland reminded me that it was Friday night, I put one in for them. Then I went out to the livingroom where he and I spent the next few hours just sitting next to each other, each on our own computers, being able to actually talk and watch TV and make fun of some of the Myspaces we saw, e-mails received, and Blogs that I thought were funny, one in particular: Cake Wrecks... seriously, if you don't laugh at this ONCE, you have mental problems that may never be fixed. Speaking of Cake Wrecks...check out mine...this is the Princess Cake I made for Natalie's Birthday back in December:

HAHAHAHA! Hey...great for a first timer, yeah???
Anyway, off-subject but let's get back to it: Night wtih Garland & I: it was WEIRD. Not a bad weird or a weird weird just a WOW! weird...you know what I mean? Normally we don't get that time together. Normally it's work work work, argue with kids, cook cook cook, break up an argument between the kids, work work work, argue with the kids to eat, kids to go to bed, rush rush rush finally sit down it's midnight and 8 loads of laundry to do. Whew!

Tonight: Girls in their room watching a movie. Garland and I in front room lounging around, playing games, watching tv, joking, laughing and at some point he had my hand in his and I remember thinking WOW it's been a LONG time since we had this one on one time at night. And there was NO LAUNDRY left to do...It was great! I did smack him once...but that was just because of Two and a Half Men and that was HIL.AR.I.OUS. Seriously, Charlie turned Alan's business into a brothel. Unwittingly at first. And whenever I find something funny, I smack people in like, the upper arm or something. It's an unconcious thing I do. If you have been privvy to this, I apologize. =D
My point is this: maybe instead of awarding the kids ALL THE TIME by letting them stay up mega late on weekends, maybe we should just give them the TV night in the room (where they will eventually fall prey to sleep ha!) and steal that time to be together. Man, it was NIICE!
Oh, and PS: I am SOOO into the show "Lie to Me" WATCH IT! Seriously, I have caught like 15 people lying straight to my face since watching this show. The science of it.is.awesome.
Some pics I should have posted from a LONG TIME AGO:

The 3 Loves of my life: Natalie, Olivia, & Garland.

My handsome Nephew, Gavin.

Preggo Mandy, Rebecca, Me, & Jennifer @ my Bday Dinner.

Natalie @ her birthday @ Olive Garden. (It's where she wanted to go!)

I'm In A Rotten Mood Today.

Jack Pretlusky, The New Kid on the Block. 1984.
Remember that book from Elementary School? It was the one with the silly poems & songs that every kid checked out from the library almost religiously and by the time you got to it it was so creased and grimy from being read so much that it was almost better to just beg your parents to buy it from the bookstore?
Yeah, well, I borrowed that book back in like, 1st grade and somehow I guess I never returned it although I wasn't aware of this until I found it in a box like 2 years ago when I was moving some stuff out of a rotting box and into a plastic tub. HAHA So I put it on my bookshelf and now when I go to said bookshelf I see a tattered old book of silly poetry with a huge PRE. 84. FIC. HUTCH BEACH ELEM. typed on the side and taped with some pretty awesome tape I'd say seeing that apparently this book has been hauled around illegally with me since around ummm 1984. (Ack!)
Anyways, off topic. There's a poem in there that I use to think was funny. I would giggle everytime I read it because it made me think of my mother. Ha! One was about homework (I hate you you stink...ha!) and the other was I'm In A Rotten Mood Today!

Today, I AM this poem. Sure, I feel like a bazillion times better than the previous days even though my head still pounds from the sinus pressure. The narcs helped immensely and the few days off that I got this week because of weather helped MORE because I got some much needed SLEEP. Niiiice... Anyways, things that are putting me in a Rotten Mood Today, listed form, because if I elaborate, this will be a NOVEL, instead of a blog post:

  1. People who spoil their kids. (Not with love way!! With the I'm-gonna-hold-you/your-bottle-all-day-&-night-to-shut-you-up-because-I-want-peace way.) And then lie to my face about it. Seriously people, if you do this with your kids (and be HONEST with yourself sheez), just think of the repercusions you put on the people who take care of your kids while you are at school/work. I.E.: if you hold your child ALL NIGHT AND ALL DAY LONG for days and days on end while home with them (mainly to shut them up) then your child (and you) will expect that from their Child Care Provider when they go back and then get mad when that doesn't happen. Helloooooo you don't need child care, you need a NANNY or cut your expenses in half and stay HOME.

  2. Public School System. They have to provide specific things, but do they really provide this? Do they seriously think they can lax in the communication department when you so desperately need the information to help your child succeed?

  3. Sinusitis. Seriously, if I get a fever with this bad bout of sinusitis, it increases my chance of a possible aneurysm by like 85%. HELLO sinus pressure in your HEAD is obviously a very.bad.thing. And...and...and...let me ALSO add that if you get sinusitis bad enough to be mistaken for a migraine, then it's not a migraine problem, it's a SINUS problem and you are more likely to get it.AGAIN. Yes people...I said chronic sinusitis. My luck. Thanks!

  4. People who think they know more than you when you know you know more than them in this particular instance. Let's say as in...oh...early childhood education. Hmmm...let's see...your child tells you something different at home than they tell the child care provider (ccp) at her house...you passive-aggressively bring up said remark to CCP who talks to the child in front of you about it and the truth comes out and then you feel like an idiot and then you want to get mad at CCP for it? So much for that "My Child Doesn't Lie." remark. Hmpf. At 5 years of age, yes your child most certainly WILL lie. They'll lie because they can, lie because they want to, lie to stay out of trouble, lie to test your skills, lie to see if you'll catch them, and lie just to make sure that they can get away with whatever it is they were doing. Yes, my dear, your child lies.

  5. People who try to act like they are better than you when you know they aren't. Ok. I'm not saying who, what, when, or where, but recently there was this thing and at this thing there were some people and among these people there was a girl and I'm not saying how long I have or have not known her or in what context because inadvertently sometimes people to happen to come across this blog through friends...but she is a "B". She has been a "B" since I have known her and she more than likely will ALWAYS BE A "B"! I want nothing more to do with her and if I had my way, I'd wipe her off the planet just because yes, she is THAT.ANNOYING.
  6. Before I forget...last one...I think: Look here PAS! and here PAS! This one ticks me off moreso than all the others! SO WHAT if your marraige/relationship failed! Don't pull the PAS crap! One day, when your children are old enough, they will wonder, and they will want to know about the parent they never knew. And if you pull this stunt, you will lose that child's respect, trust, and possibly their love. Think of LATER, don't think of the now...and separate your children's interest from your own personal wars with people.

Guess I elaborated a bit. Hmmm...Get it together people!

Migraine? I think not...

Soooooooooooo...

Went to the Doc today. Couldn't.take.the.pain. anymore. Seriously, I didn't have a migraine. What??? No migraine are you kidding me? 2 weeks of never-ending pain and it wasn't a migraine? Nooooo it was, and I quote,

"The worst case of Sinusitis that I have seen in 3-5 years." -Dr. Bartlett.

Thank you, Dr, for making me feel like some sort of medical freak that no one else in the world has had it this bad in that long. Niiice. So bad as to cause intercranial pressure that created pain horrible enough for him to prescribe a strong form of narcotics. Oh yeah, let's not forget the STREP THROAT thrown on top of that.

Yes, you read right. STREP THROAT. SINUSITIS. All of this is what I've been battling. My body aches all over, I feel like a train just hit me full blast. Shee-whiz, please let's just put me in a vise and set it to "reallyyyyyyy tight."

So, it's bed early tonight for me (is this necessarily a bad thing?), and no work for me tomorrow. (Well, not much anyway, Open & Close and maybe do what I can IF I can.) No Desperate Housewives tonight so I'm not missing much really. The pain reliever is actually starting to kick in now so I'm going to say goodnight...see you all tomorrow...or Tuesday...or something...

“This is a soul under perpetual migraine attacks.”

sucks. I've been battling a migraine for oh ummmm 18 hours now. It's so bad, I've been up and down puking every time I bend over or anything. The children are not helping. Neither is the Excedrine or the Percocets I for sure puked out overnight.

When I was checking my business emails earlier, I actually had to put on sunglasses (which I am still wearing at this moment) because the glare from the monitor at 5:45 am was enough to send me puking. Again.

Please Migraine, GO AWAY. Don't even come back this time. I'm so tired of you and how you rob me of sleep I need, time that you waste, and a never-ending pain that throbs so badly I just want to ram my head into the wall until you disappear. Everytime I want to cry, I cant! I have to hold it in because all crying accomplishes is my head tightening up and you pound even harder. I can't breathe, because the intake literally makes my head explode and I can't even TOUCH my head because the softest touch makes me wince. Migraine, you suck. I hate you with every fiber of my being. I am convinced you must be a brain tumor because you keep returning with more and more force at least once or twice a week. If you started to change sides, then I wouldn't be so worried. But every week, the same exact spot? The same exact pounding? Are you playing some evil mind game? Some sick version of Russian Roulette on my cranium? Must you interrupt my momentum? I have so much to do and not enough time to devote to taking care of you. Just please please PLLLLEEEEEEAAAAAASE go away!

*Sighs* That's about all I have today. Sunglasses & kids. Yayyyyy for me.

MANIACS!!!

Hmpf! What maniac thought it was a good idea to air the new episode of Grey's Anatomy on the SAME Thursday as the OU/FL game?? Huh??? Who decided this schedule? Who thought this was a GRAND idea!?

Sure, you say DVR one or both shows, but in my mile-a-millisecond mind, if I don't watch it with the rest of the world, even if the rest of the world has NO IDEA that I didn't watch it with them, I feel like I'm behind, missing out, AKA LOSER!! So I must admit it sounds goofy even as I type it, but I just won't be able to enjoy either show. I'll be flipping back and forth, rewinding, utilizing commercial time, more than likely ignoring the children but if lucky enough, (yeah right) they'd already be in bed anyway and sleeping like angels instead of sneaking up to watch tv from the corner of the front foyer.

Maybe I can hope for a slow first half. That way I can watch Grey's with ease instead of Grey's with "I wonder what kind of kick ass plays the Sooners are pulling off while I watch Izzy screw a ghost and eredith play house with Derek!" Have you noticed lately they kinda act like an old married couple that's been living together for like, years? That happened FAST!)

Ok, well shutting up now. Will blog about more important matters later when I get another quick moment!
